SER Topvrouwen stands for boardroom empowerment

The SER Topvrouwen database contains profiles of experienced and talented top-level businesswomen who are eligible as candidates to become a commissioner, a member of the board of directors or a member of the supervisory board. The candidates work in various sectors and have extensive managerial and practical experience in the business community and in science.

Board-ready candidates

Are you a talented, experienced top-level businesswoman and are you available for a position as a commissioner, a member of the board of directors or a member of the supervisory board? Then we cordially invite you to include your profile in our SER Topvrouwen database, which highlights board-ready candidates for organisations with vacant top-level positions.
Make sure that your up-to-date profile is not missing from this database!
Your profile is visible in our database, not only to the one hundred publicly listed companies in the Netherlands and more than 5,000 companies that are subject to the law for gradual entry quota and figure targets, but also to the executive search agencies that are committed to promoting diversity in the boardroom.

The database is a handy, free tool for boardroom empowerment. It supports the organisations that are subject to the law for gradual entry quota and figure targets in finding colleagues for their top-level and (sub)top-level positions. After all, they want to recruit the very best candidates with consideration given to gender diversity. In just a few clicks, they can reach a large pool of carefully selected, talented, ambitious candidates.

Join the database

In order to assure the quality of the SER Topvrouwen database, the following criteria have been drawn up for inclusion in the database. These criteria refer to relevant experience and insight within the scope of organisations that are subject to the law for gradual entry quota and target figures.

The quota applies to publicly listed companies, the figures target and transparency obligation to all 'large' companies in the Netherlands that meet at least two of the following three criteria

  • The value of assets exceeds € 20 million;
  • The net turnover exceeds € 40 million;
  • The average number of employees is 250 or more.

Criteria

  1. Executive/senior managerial experience at an organisation that is subject to the law for gradual entry quota and target figures, or within a similar setting.
  2. An understanding of complex, large organisations
  3. Experience with strategic decision-making processes
  4. Commitment to obtaining an endorsement if you have not yet held an executive or supervisory position. The endorsement must be written by an executive or supervisory board member of acompany that is subject to the law for gradual entry quota and target figures or a (semi) governmental body of a similar stature.

If you do not meet all the above criteria, but you believe that you would bring added value to a position on a board of directors, board of commissioners or supervisory board, then there is a separate registration procedure for this. Please send your motivation to: consultant@topvrouwen.nl

Calling all top-level businesswomen in the Netherlands

Even if you do not immediately want to venture into the transfer market, we would still like to ask you to sign up for our database. SER Topvrouwen has a clear mission: to accelerate the advancement of female directors and commissioners. Many of the hundreds of ambitious, board-ready women in our database end up on longlists and ultimately in the boardroom. Furthermore, as a woman leader in our database you have access to the Espresso link, our speed date events with executive search agencies, inspiring knowledge sessions and webinars and our annual SER Topvrouwen United event where there is ample opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and networking with other top-level businesswomen.

A greater goal

Registration with SER Topvrouwen is in the first place good for your own career, but each registration serves a greater goal: it debunks the notion that there are not enough suitable women available for top-level positions. The sheer power of numbers means that people can no longer get away with a longlist that does not comprise women for the half.

Image formation

This means that every registration is important for the Dutch business community, even if you do not immediately want to venture into the transfer market. Are you or do you know an (up-and-coming) top-level businesswoman? Help us to change this image: register or refer them to us.
