Self-Assessment

Are stakeholders truly engaged with your company? Or does it stop at one-off conversations instead of ongoing dialogue? This self-assessment shows you how meaningful stakeholder dialogue is working in your company: what is already going well, and where you can strengthen it.

The assessment helps you better integrate stakeholder voices into your decisions, managing risks, and implementing due diligence. Whether you are just starting or already have experience with stakeholder dialogue, this assessment gives your company practical guidance to move forward.

To self-assessment

Who is this self-assessment for?

This assessment is for anyone looking to engage stakeholders in a meaningful way, but who is not sure where to start or how to improve.

The questions are suitable for all employees involved in engaging stakeholders in the context of (international) responsible business conduct. You do not need to be an expert to complete this self-assessment. Even if you are just starting with stakeholder dialogue, you can answer the questions based on how things currently work within your company.

How does the self-assessment work?

In just 10 minutes, you go through a series of statements across three categories:

  1. Strategic embedding: how is dialogue integrated into day-to-day business operations?
  2. Organisation and implementation: how do you set up the process in practice?
  3. Attitude towards stakeholders: how do you approach and engage with your stakeholders?

After completing the assessment, you will immediately receive a tailored report including:

  • Your maturity level in your approach to stakeholder dialogue
  • Key areas for improvement per category
  • Practical guidance to take the next steps.

Tip: complete the assessment with colleagues or discuss the results in a team meeting. This builds a shared understanding of where your company stands and what logical next steps are.

How to use the results?

The self-assessment is your starting point for improving stakeholder dialogue. Use the outcomes as a basis for internal discussion, team reflection, or as concrete preparation for a dialogue process. Your score gives you clear direction for taking targeted action with the right tools and support.
