Corporate social responsibility is part of the core business of any enterprise. It involves consciously creating long-term value in terms of Profit, People and Planet. This entails transparency and dialogue with the various stakeholders.
The prime purpose of this advisory report is to clarify the concept of corporate social responsibility and to define the roles and responsibilities of the enterprise and its stakeholders. The report was prepared by representatives of employers' organizations and trade unions together with independent experts, within the Nederlands' Social and Economic Council. The government's response to the report is included.
