The Social and Economic Council [SER] is a public-law institution established on the basis of Section 1 of the Dutch Industrial Organisation Act [Wet op de bedrijfsorganisatie.
As public-law legal entities are not obliged to register on the basis of Section 4 of the Dutch Commercial Registers Act 1996 [Handelsregisterwet 1996], the SER is not listed in the Commercial Register of the Chamber of Commerce.
